Let’s Grow Knox County, Together!

      

Join the Knox County Public Schools and Knox County Fiscal Court as we launch a collaborative project that will begin to transform our community.

On Wednesday, September 9, we will launch a county-wide Strategic Planning Task Force and you are invited to participate. Through conversation and shared ideas, we will work together to develop our vision for the future of Knox County. More importantly, the plan will provide us all with the direction and next steps on becoming a vibrant, growing, educated community here in southeastern Kentucky.

This project is being funded by an Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Flex-E-Grant through the Kentucky Department for Local Government and administered by Brushy Fork Institute at Berea College. Flex-E-Grant funds are made available to economically distressed ARC counties in Kentucky for projects that build local capacity. The Knox County Fiscal Court in conjunction with the Knox County Public Schools applied for and received funding to support the facilitation of the strategic planning process.
