I wanted to share with you an arts in education grant opportunity available to teachers in your service area. Would you share this opportunity with your K-12 school contacts in your service area (see below for a list of counties eligible for this opportunity)?

Thanks to a generous gift from Delta Dental of Kentucky, the Fund for the Arts (based in Louisville, Kentucky) is able to provide arts in education grants to teachers in southeastern and western Kentucky. The Delta Dental Making Smiles Happen Arts in Education Initiative provides funds to teachers to expand or enhance classroom instruction with arts programs that are connected to core content.

Public and private K-12 teachers can request funding to take students on field trips to see an arts program or to bring an arts group into the school or classroom setting (see Education Brochures on the website for a listing of available programs). Teachers may submit applications for programs in their individual classroom or they may submit applications for experiences across multiple classrooms.

Teachers in the following counties are eligible to apply:

  • Southeastern Kentucky:

Bell, Breathitt, Clay, Estill, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Johnson, Knott, Knox, Laurel, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Lincoln, Madison, Magoffin, Martin, McCreary, Owsley, Perry, Pike, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Wayne, Whitley, and Wolfe

  • Western Kentucky:
