        FUNDING         USES:       
        The purpose of         the U.S. Department of Commerce NIST SBIR Phase I Program is to         determine the technical feasibility of the research, preliminary         commercialization potential of the proposed effort, and the quality of         the awardee’s performance.  Applicants that receive Phase I awards         will be given the opportunity to submit a Phase II application         following completion of Phase I.
