To help insure accountability to the local communities and guide the efforts of the initiative, the Kentucky Highlands Promise Zone has established a 21-member Promise Zone Advisory Council. The Advisory Council includes two representatives from each of the eight Promise Zone counties and the chairman of Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation. Up to three outside members may be added to the Advisory Council in order to bring further expertise and resources to the effort. Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation personnel acts as staff to the Advisory Council. The Advisory Council meets at least quarterly to provide guidance and feedback.
